Congratulations to Capella House for donating the most books to the book mountain appeal.
They have been carefully transformed into ‘trees’ and ‘gifts’ in the school hall before being taken to the library.

Kingsbury proud of Year 8 kick boxer.
Kingsbury has a number of students who excel in sporting activities outside of School.
Morgan Drayton (year 8) has, over the last few months, added to his collection of trophies by taking part in the World Association of Kickboxing organisations world cup in Italy, where he came joint third. He has also competed in the Australian classics world cup and the Irish open.
Morgan continues to go from strength to strength in his chosen sport and we wish him every success for the future. We look forward to learning of his next achievement.
Fantastic trip to see the Lion King in London
On Wednesday 9th December 2015, the GCSE Drama group went on a trip to London to see the matinee performance of The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre.
The reason behind this trip was so that students were able to immerse themselves in the setting of a West End Theatre and use this experience to help them write a theatre review for part of their GCSE coursework.
Whilst in London students also had a tour of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama – the university that their Drama teacher, Mr Cope, attended himself. After the tour students were taken on a mini tour of London through Picadilly Circus – with a stop off at MnM World, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Southbank and the National Theatre before heading to the theatre.
Once the matinee performance had ended students were treated to a quick stop off at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park for a reward for being outstanding ambassadors to the school throughout the day.
Clare Bacciochi Scholorships awarded
Principal, Mr Clarke, recently awarded certain students with scholarships from the Clare Bacciochi fund.
Kingsbury School as for some time benefitted from access to the Clare Bacciochi fund. The charity fund was set up in memory of Clare, who attended Kingsbury School and was sadly killed in the Lockerbie disaster along with 243 passengers and 16 crew members of Pan Am flight 103 in 1988.
The fund, operated by trustees connected to the school, gives young people from Kingsbury School access to opportunities which they would not otherwise have had such as funding for international and national school visits, school equipment and access to external training or coaching.
Pictured are (Left to right) Mae Thompson (Art), Kate Rainsford (swimming), Callum Nolan (Fooball), Mr Clarke, Khaylan Nagar (Cricket), Elliot Hocknull (Academic), and Alexandra Wilcox (Dance). We wish them well in their activities.
