Former student working on ZIKA virus
It is always a delight to hear of the success of our former students.
This is never more so the case than when we hear that former students are carrying out vital work into understanding serious illnesses and diseases.
Jordan Thomas who was a pupil between 2005 and 2010 has since gone on to gain a first class master degree is Microbiology and is working on the ZIKA virus. His proud mum sent us a picture of Jordan at his recent graduation with the following statement;
“My son Jordan Thomas (ex pupil) who was inspired for his love of science by Mr Clarke… Graduated yesterday from Liverpool University with a 1st class Masters Degree in Microbiology. He is staying at Liverpool and is currently employed in the labs as they are working on the ZIKA virus. He will then continue his studies in October when he will commence his PhD. Thank you Mr Clarke for your inspiration.”
The current staff and students at Kingsbury are equally proud of Jordan’s achievements and valuable work.

We are aware of the overcrowding issues on the 115 and X16 bus services.
Due to increased demand on public transport from Tamworth and Dosthill, we are aware of overcrowding issues on the 115 and X16 services. We are currently investigating possible solutions to this so that all of our students can travel comfortably and safely to and from school.
Please see the attached letter which is being distributed to students with regard to a possible solution to the problem.
