Congratulations to Lexi Carruthers year 7
Congratulations to Lexi Carruthers - Year 7 who continues to excel in her chosen sport of BMX racing.
Below is the write up from her latest competition;
Lexi and her sister qualified for the 2018 world championships and represented Great Britain over in Baku, Azerbaijan on 05-07th June 2018. Both had to get top 4 each moto to qualify through the day and then through the knock out stages to qualify for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Final. Both stormed through the day, and both made the Final.
Lexi raced age 12 girls and was storming through her moto’s taking the top spot in all 3 moto’s, she also went out and won her semi–final beating girls from all over the world which gave her the high hope and confidence of a podium finish or even better championship title in the final. Representing her country and this being her first world championships Lexi came away with world 6th in her final, she wanted the championship win but within a tough category of world class girls she fought her way through to 6th position, which has now placed Lexi as World 6 in female 12 category of BMX. Lexi is over the moon with her current BMX Status and will continue to train hard to take to the big stage again in 2019 over in Belgium hoping for the World Championship title.
Lexi who is now World number 6 and currently also European Number 3 will also be attending the 2018 UEC European Championships on 13-15 July over in Sarrians,France to regain her European number 3 title and hopefully come away with a European Championship title.
All of the staff and students at Kingsbury wish Lexi continued success.
