Key Stage 3 Science Curriculum
At Key Stage 3 all pupils follow an in-house
Scheme of Work based on the Absolute Science Course. It is a
three-year course giving full coverage of the National Curriculum.
Absolute Science has been written to support the new framework for
teaching Science and fits exactly to the format of the Key Stage 3
Scheme of Work from QCA currently at Key Stage 3 pupils receive 3 x 6
minute lesson of science each week.
The department is keeping up to date with
developments regarding the proposed new curriculum for Key Sage 3 and
will be trialling new materials on behalf of Oxford University Press
Publications.
Pupils are continuously assessed in Science
and are kept informed of their current level target. Parents can
request an up to date assessment summary sheet for their child by either
completing the request form below or
contacting the Curriculum Team Leader.
