Staffing
Have
you ever wondered how to build a great science
department? Well, we know because we have the team
that makes it work. You could try to build this
circuit board yourself, but we have the vital components
that make it work.
There are 5 permanent full-time teaching
staff, one permanent part-time member of teaching staff
and 3 permanent part-time technicians.

Accommodation
The Science department is located on the
first floor and comprises of 5 laboratories (rooms 3, 4,
6, 18 and 19). Rooms 6 and 19 were refurbished in
2001. Rooms 3 and 18 were refurbished in 2006 and 2007
respectively as part of our Specialist School
improvements. All the laboratories have gas,
electricity and water service points around the room and
on the benches themselves.
Every
effort is made to maintain a stimulating and creative
learning environment. The Science department is proud
of the work produced by pupils and regularly displays it
throughout the laboratories
Resources
The
department is fully resourced with up to date text
books, ICT equipment and practical apparatus. The
department also has access to the Learning Resource
Centre and the school computer suites
