Why join us?
Our young people
At Kingsbury we are proud to be able to say “We know each student by name”. As a smaller secondary school, we are able to work closely with our young people to develop their talents to the best of their abilities. Our size also makes it possible to work in close partnership with home to ensure that every child receives the best possible support and guidance to enable them to achieve their very best. We encourage our young people to have high expectations of themselves, to be dedicated to their learning and determined to maximize their achievements.
We are proud of our school and our young people and we are working to ensure that success in learning will lead to success in life.
Teaching and Learning
Our drive to improve the quality of teaching and learning at Kingsbury School has been, and continues to be, significant and dynamic.
Our priority is to focus on and embed our core purpose; our reason for existence as a school:
Enthuse | Aspire | Achieve
It is our mission to ensure that our school community is clear about what our core purpose is and that we endeavour to apply it on a daily basis. Teaching and learning is instrumental in doing this. It is our objective to continue to raise the achievement, independence, resilience and self-esteem of our learners, and to ensure that staff are supported in consistently delivering the best lessons.
Our aim is to ensure that everything we do is underpinning our core purpose. This fundamental outcome is not for negotiation or compromise but guides our everyday decisions.
At Kingsbury, you will actively participate in our teaching and learning agenda thus ensuring that you receive rigorous and regular professional development so that you can progress to being an outstanding teacher. As well as receiving effective support and mentoring within your subject area, you will also be part of a whole school team in which teaching and learning is always a priority for enhancement.
Change for the future
You will be joining our school during a time of significant development. In September 2014, Kingsbury School Sixth Form was launched and so the start of teaching for level 3 qualifications, including AS level and BTEC qualifications. This is an exciting venture for our school, and our trainee teachers will be part of this unique experience for all three of the salaried placements that we are offering. In addition, trainees will be able to access additional guidance from our Post-16 partners, including North Warwickshire and Hinckley College.
What we are looking for?
We are offering salaried placements in the following subjects:
- Modern Foreign Languages
- Computer Studies
